Dog and GRRR
Monday, October 4th, 2010Cosby has a new thing… books! He loves to be read to, actually he likes to flip through books and point to stuff and have you tell him what it is (which is fine because I’d rather do that then read a novel to him). His favorite section of books are the animal ones. He is so fascinated by animals, especially cats, dogs and bunny’s. After we’ve been reading through the same books a million times a day I decided to tell him what noises some of the animals make (which is kinda confusing since there are a ton of animals that make a roaring or a growling sound) so I picked the tiger to start out with. I told him it went ROOAAARRRR. and we did a few other animal sounds too. Well… the I had him eating lunch and he was looking through one of his books and came to a lion cub and he did the roaring sound on his own. I know every parent thinks their kids are smart but I actually think he’s smart!
And today I was showing him pictures of dogs of the computer and he began saying dog. He even said it for Joe when he came home for lunch and usually Cosby tries to hide his advances from his Dada.
Every day there is something new (except teeth, we’re still working with that 1) he learns or does. It’s just amazing to me the difference now and this time last year. I know, there’s only more learning and growing up ahead. It just seems like each stage is more exciting than the 1 before. And I think that’s true of most kids until they reach their pre-teens.
