15 Months

Today Cosby is 15 Months.  These past 15 months have been a whirlwind and probably the best 15 months of mine and Joe’s lives.  We can not imagine life without Cosby!  I know, we probably have obsessive 1st child syndrome, but we just love him!  Here are a few updates about Cosby.

*Cosby Loves putting stuff together and taking it apart.

*He loves reading and looking at pictures and having you tell him what it is he’s pointing.  He is especially fascinated by animals.  We’re trying to teach him animal sounds.  Whenever you do the sound (or almost any word for that matter)  he watches your mouth and tries to copy just what you do.  He’ll come up to you and with incredible purpose, tell you something…something that he understands but no one else.

*He’s a dancing machine.  Any music, even mommy humming, is cause for a head bob or a hip shake.  and sometimes he tries and sing along.

*Randomly comes up to you and wants a fist bump

*Cosby’s is so independents now.  Whenever he sits on your lap he takes your hands off of him, he is in need of no help.

*He has 1 1/2 teeth.  I know that’s no impressive number but it’s better than none, right?

*He’s completely and utterly attached to his pacifier and his blanket!

*When he walks, he constantly swings his arms.  I guess it makes him faster.

*Cosby’s hair now is pretty long and very curly in the back.  He didn’t have much of a choice with that though considering both of his parents hair.  But I must say, it’s so cute!

*He is a toy master.  He loves playing!  He’s content just playing for hours by himself.

*He still talk on the phone several hours a day.

Dog and GRRR

Cosby has a new thing… books!  He loves to be read to, actually he likes to flip through books and point to stuff and have you tell him what it is (which is fine because I’d rather do that then read a novel to him).  His favorite section of books are the animal ones.  He is so fascinated by animals, especially cats, dogs and bunny’s.  After we’ve been reading through the same books a million times a day I decided to tell him what noises some of the animals make (which is kinda confusing since there are a ton of animals that make a roaring or a growling sound) so I picked the tiger to start out with.  I told him it went ROOAAARRRR.  and we did a few other animal sounds too.  Well… the I had him eating lunch and he was looking through one of his books and came to a lion cub and he did the roaring sound on his own.  I know every parent thinks their kids are smart but I actually think he’s smart!

And today I was showing him pictures of dogs of the computer and he began saying dog.    He even said it for Joe when he came home for lunch and usually Cosby tries to hide his advances from his Dada.

Every day there is something new (except teeth, we’re still working with that 1) he learns or does.  It’s just amazing to me the difference now and this time last year.  I know, there’s only more learning and growing up ahead.  It just seems like each stage is more exciting than the 1 before.  And I think that’s true of most kids until they reach their pre-teens.
